If I don’t lose them, it’s only a matter of time before I sit on em or they are borrowed permanently. Obviously, I lost them shortly there after, but I was stoked enough to reach out to Nectar Co-founder Dylan Roukous to learn more.<\/p>\n How long has Nectar been around? How did it start?<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n Nectar has been around for three years now. The idea started in college where I sold sunglasses at a lower price point to my classmates. I saw an opportunity in the market to introduce stylish colors that nobody else was doing at the time. I spoke with my buddy Sean to start the company with me. From there it has been a crazy ride and we are super stoked at how far we have come in such a short time.<\/span><\/p>\n The Cypress<\/em><\/p>\n What makes your brand different?<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n Our products are developed in different color ways that other companies aren’t doing. The frame shapes, combinations and subtle branding are all unique. We like to move forward rather than follow the pack. In the next few months you will see a few new frame styles, some sick new t-shirt designs with innovations and one new frame that is super secret until next year.<\/span><\/p>\n Who are you? What’s your background?<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n I’m just a dude who likes to live a life full of adventure – my background is in branding and marketing. I have worked for one of the top music event companies in the world and learned a lot there. Our team likes to snowboard and surf as much as possible. We are close to the beach now but a couple years ago we were close to Snowshoe mtn.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n The Drift<\/em><\/p>\n Where is the brand based?<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n The brand is currently based in Charleston, SC – but one difference between us and other brands is that we travel around. So far the brand has been based in Richmond, VA – Atlanta, GA – Boca Raton, FL \u00a0and now in Charleston, SC.
