From this point forward, he is what regular people think of when they hear \u201csnowboarding.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>2006<\/strong>. Mervin introduces Banana Camber, starting the war with Never Summer, who claim they did it first. Brands add split boards to their lines and bros everywhere start talking about \u201cgoing splitboarding\u201d instead of \u201csnowboarding.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>2011.<\/strong> Bryan Fox and Austin Smith start writing <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wedrinkwater.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Drink Water<\/a> on their snowboards. Vail, Colorado to be exact.<\/p>\n<p><strong>2013.<\/strong> The Elan Factory, manufacturer of many brands, closes, but is saved from certain death by CAPiTA.<\/p>\n<p>And that brings us to now&#8230; What does the future hold?
