My latest business venture is building websites. I use the term "business" loosely though, as for the most part I've been building them for friends and family to gain experience. I am officially home from a week on the East Coast, and I have returned on east coast time with whooping cough, but I am not mad. It was one of those trips where I actually appreciated the east coast, in spite of the cold and having to scrape my car, etc. Mostly it was due to three incredible snowboard events (one of which was not the US Open.) It has been a running joke (mostly within my own mind) that I only shoot covers. My published photo section is only covers and well, despite the fact that most are either not newstand mags, or on the online mag I run, I still think it's cool. The night I took this photo I actually was talking about Rob Campbell about how this was a night to shoot your pipe cover and the event actually ended up being canceled due to the fog. I Only Shoot Covers

It has been a running joke (mostly within my own mind) that I only shoot covers. My published photo section is only covers and well, despite the fact that most are either not newstand mags, or on the online mag I run, I still think it's cool. The night I took this photo I actually was talking about Rob Campbell about how this was a night to shoot your pipe cover and the event actually ended up being canceled due to the fog. I love digital photography. Preston Strout recently told me I was the first person he ever saw with a digital camera, so it's not like this is a new thing for me, but now I can't even imagine shooting any other way. My four or so film cameras haven't so much as been picked up in years. But there's one thing that I still haven't really mastered with digital, and that's filing them in a way that I can easily find old photos when I need to. Ok, I have a lot more things to master than that, but I really suck at organiziation. Which brings me to the title…

I have some days where I just can't put together a punchline. Today is not one of those days. I am doing a really amazing job at making fun of stuff and stealing funny jokes from others for my own benefit. Here's a quick run down. I received a Grenade Games press release this morning. My latest business venture is building websites. I use the term "business" loosely though, as for the most part I've been building them for friends and family to gain experience. I'll tell you a secret, Wordpress is really easy to use. The hardest part of making it look good is figuring out where in the back end the stuff you want to change is located. But I'm definitely getting better, and faster, at it, and I'd almost say I enjoy it. While YoBeat is a wordpress site, Jared gets the credit for that one. My friend Jen just wrote a blog about April in Colorado, and how it can snow at any time. It's times like these when I am glad to live in Portland. I am officially home from a week on the East Coast, and I have returned on east coast time with whooping cough, but I am not mad. It was one of those trips where I actually appreciated the east coast, in spite of the cold and having to scrape my car, etc. Mostly it was due to three incredible snowboard events (one of which was not the US Open.)
