Circa 2000 (no pay at the pump!) Ahh the Midwest. It's really a hard place to avoid if you want to get to one coast from another by car, so it's fitting I would hit all these states on my first cross-country trip in 2000, and have been back many times since. 21. I know, I know, these two states are NOT TOUCHING, and technically I think I drove though one of them on a different trip first, but it was my cross country drive in 2001 when I first stopped to skateboard in them each. As it turns out, it’s freezing in Flag in February, but we did make it to Phoenix to skate some of the perfect concrete parks.
