Contoversy Sells — But So Does Free Food!
The best byproduct of the bad economy so far has to be the free food. Companies that actually want to stay in business must adapt to the changing climate, not just whine and declare bankruptcy. So all theses restaurant chains are doing so by offering free breakfast, free pancakes and the latest, free subs!
I’ll admit I was hesitant to put in all my personal info to get my free $4 sub, because obviously, Quizno’s is getting way more out of this than I am. Now not only do they have all my info (including my favorite sub) but I just went and spent $2 more getting a chips and a drink. But hey, I’ll take a $2 lunch (even if the quality of their subs has gone downhill.)
I knew they were winning, but you know what, I am ok with it. The marketing guys at Quizno’s are geniuses and I hope they get a raise. But please don’t send me spam email, k?
You want to get paid for web stories, but you expect a free sandwich?
The cost of the Denny’s Breakfast to give away for each person who ordered it? A grand total of eighty nine cents. If you ordered anything Denny’s made a profit although the day came as a loss once you factored in operational costs.
The publicity is invaluable. You have to give Quizno’s credit for being ahead of the game and gathering consumer info. As for spam e-mail can-spam laws dictate they have to provide you an opt out after the first time they send you anything.
I sent you this link, and you now blogged about it. Geeze. This internet thing gets stranger and stranger by the day.
